The
modern Toyota MR2 was introduced in 2000, its a fun, lightweight
two seater soft top car.
The MR2 is the perfect plaything, it isn't designed to be practical,
there is very little luggage or storage space. There are tiny
compartments behind the seats, which aren't easily accessable
and it has a very small glovebox, so you may find yourself using
the passenger seat to hold your odds and ends.
The interior is inkeeping with the stylish, sporty looking body,
the seats are very low on the ground to give less wind resistance
and to add to the superb acceleration. The seats wrap round and
the leg/headroom is satisfying, making this a very comfortable
soft top.
This nippy sports car is a delight to drive, especially with the
roof down on a hot summers day. The steering is accurate and very
brisk when handling corners.
The MR2 has some safety features, for example twin airbags and
superb brakes, but however it does not have traction control or
side airbags.
Like
all Toyota's, the reliability is exceptional, and the MR2 is no
different, there shouldn't be many major problems with this car.
The
Toyota MR2 is a 1.8 litre engine with a 138bhp, which for a sports
car isn't a lot, but it still enables the car to reach a satisfying
speed.
