The
modern Renault Clio was introduced in 2001 and is available
as a 3 or 5 door hatchback.
This
stylish car offers an extensive range of petrol and diesel
engines. The Renault Clio is a small car, which is shown by
the limited space in the back, however the front passenger
has adequate leg room. The 5 door models offer more space
for passengers and easier access to the back seats.
Small cars like the Renault Clio allow you to park effortlessly
in places that other cars would simply cringe at, or to do
the school run or supermarket quickly and economically. Even
though the interior of the Clio is quite substandard, the
buttons and switches are straight forward and easy to find.
The Clio has proven to be extremely dependable so even though
the interior is poor atleast it will keep on running.
The
Renault Clio comes in 1.2, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 litre engines.
The 1.2 litre engine makes a tremendous car for new drivers
and is well suited to town driving, with capability of doing
0-60 in 12.6 seconds. However the 1.5litre diesel is excellent,
it is energetic and excels at motorway work. These mini cars
are fun to drive, the steering is accurate and it takes corners
very well. All models have power steering, ABS, four airbags,
remote central locking, and immobilisers. In some models traction,
alarm and aircon are optional or not available, this car was
given four stars during the crash test.
